What truly matters is your thoughts
Not your notes

Most note-taking apps have fallen into the trap of stacking endless features, such as Editing, Clipper, and even All-in-one.
However, the ultimate purpose of note-taking is to inspire thoughts.

A letter for flomoers

Knowing why we embarked is more important than having so many features.
Dear flomoers,

Throughout our career,
We have found many people that do not take notes or memos.
Not because they don't want to, it was these apps they use!
Most apps fell into a trap of focusing on
a better writing experience instead of connecting knowledge.

The truth is,
only a few people would become writers,
While better thinking is more important for the rest of us.

Comparing to the ways to connect knowledge and write essays,
what we lack more is how to extract information and ideas out of memos.

As McLuhan mentioned,
"we shape our tools thereafter our tools shape us."

In flomo,
there is no powerful customization, like Notion;
or a bidirectional link system, like Roam;
or a Markdowm editor, like Bear.

We focus on ONE thing only:
Helping you write down more MEMOs,
ONE goal:
build your own thought FLOW.

By the way:
flomo = flow + memo
